Babür Kerim İNCEDAYI
İncedayı was born in İstanbul in 1945. He graduated from İstanbul State Academy of Fine Arts in 1969, and conducted his research studies on industrial design in Rome and Milan in Italy between 1969 and 1974. He returned to Turkey in 1975, and became a lecturer in İstanbul UESYO in the Department of Industrial Design between 1975 and 1979, and the Department of Industrial Design in Mimar Sinan University between 1979 and 2000. He also took a job in the Department of Interior Architecture and Industrial Design in Yeditepe University as of 1998. In the fall semester, he founded the Department of Arts and Design in the same institution and he is still the head of the department. Also he is a lecturer in the Department of Interior Design in Haliç University as of the 1999-2000 academic year.
His works have been featured in the international fairs and exhibitions, and he has degrees in the following international competitions; International Furniture Design Competition in Cantu / Italy, September 1971; International Design Competition in Kortrijk / Belgium 1973; International Jewelry Design Exhibition, Milan / Italy, 1972; Arango International Design Competition, Miami / USA, 1982, the project has been to Miami Museum of Modern Art.
In addition, he undertook the task of establishing of the facilities of integrated system production in Italy and Russia. Among his other academic activities are: Patara ruins of the Roman lighthouse excavation survey project as a part of Department of Archaeology in Mediterranean University between 2005 and 2006, survey studies in İstanbul Archaeology Museum between 2005 and 2006, Design Boom Beyond Silver-Milan Italy International Silver Design Competition December 2008 (finalist), Design Turkey Design Awards 2008 İstanbul Exhibition (finalist), Art 8 Lounge Gallery (Sofa Hotel), the Call for Tolerance Mevlana Personal Exhibition October 2008.
