After most of the furniture at the Academy was damaged by "the Great Academy Fire" in 1948, this bench was designed by Architect Nazimi Yaver Yeniar in 1955. The current number of the benches, whose material is solid hornbeam, is 107. Today, it is used in the Conference Hall of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.
