Nevhan AKYILDIZ
After graduating from the Ankara University Faculty of Law, Nerhan Akyıldız worked as Public Prosecutor and Chief Public Prosecutor in Çat, Mengen, Bayramiç, Adıyaman, Balıkesir, and its districts. He predominantly worked in the Expertise Bureau for Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights. During this time he was assigned to European Union twinning projects, working with Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, France and Hungary on projects related to the following: The Effective Promotion and Orientation of Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights, The Enhancement of Turkish Police on Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights, The Protection of Industrial Property Rights in Turkey, Education studies carried out for Judges, Prosecutors, Lawyers, and Students at home and abroad. Upon the invitation of the USA, he participated in the International Visitor Leadership Program in 2008. As of 2011, working with Swedish Judges, he was assigned as an instructor at the seminars regarding Alternative Resolution Ways in Law and the Institution of the Solicitation for Peace” towards the Judges and Public Prosecutors in many cities. He officially retired in July 2013 but still works as a lawyer in Izmir. He also lectures to students studying Computer, Graphic Design, Interior Architecture, Fashion Design, Industrial Design and Law in Izmir and Istanbul. He works as an instructor on Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights and Conciliation. He has published some articles such as “Collection of Evidence in Investigation about Computer Programmes”, “Investigations about the Crimes of Industrial Property Rights”, “Trademark Infringement”, “Problems of Practice regarding Counterfeit Branded Crime Objects”, and “Crimes against Intellectual Property and Criminal Enterprises”.
